Sweet & Spicy beer steamed crab recipe ...

Here is a delicious way to add flavor to your crabs, crab legs or scissors if they are already cooked or raw - steamed with spicy beer!

An amber beer or "red" color is the best for this recipe; a depth of flavor gives, without being too intrusive.

Crab claws are increasingly available in markets. As the blue crabs that U.S. production is sustainable and sweet crab taste harvested beautiful. You can use this recipe for any kind of crab, though.

If they are not already, make sure that they break a little each leg or claw, so that the flavor can enter before cooking.

This recipe is good for 3 pounds of crab. Double or triple up when the recipe made.

Preparation time: 5 minutes

Cooking time: 15 minutes

Total time: 20 minutes

Yield: 3-4 snacks

Ingredients:

  • 1 bottle of amber beer (preferably flat)
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp fish seasoning (such as Old Bay)
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 2-3 pounds scissors, crab legs or whole crabs

Preparation:

In a large terrace, bring beer, pot of sugar, fish, spices, vinegar and spices to a boil over medium heat. Add shrimp and mix well. Cover and steam for 5-7 minutes (10 to 15 for raw shrimp), a few times with stirring. Remove the shrimp and serve hot sprinkled with a little sea fruits extra spice if desired.

Makes 3-4 servings of sweet and spicy appetizer of steamed crab rock beer.
