Cooking with Silver Salmon

Salmon Silver Salmon is the Goldilocks:

Silver, and silver salmon between the two: not sooo small, thick not too big, but not fat, firm, but not the most - expensive, but not nearly the most expensive salmon you can buy.

Silvers are taken from Oregon to Alaska to September, and generally work from June and last. They are a good chrome on the sea and the first time they appear in the rivers, but saw bright red when they go up by the river to spawn. After the conversion, or develop this dry mouth I could see, I COHO are essentially inedible.

Most silver between 8 to 12 pounds, but they were taken over the range of 30 pounds. Its flesh is orange, like most salmon, krill sea is a coho not eat red as a red-orange or added color. is it the same color as the farmed Atlantic salmon.

Eatingwise, coho salmon has less fat than Sockeyes or kings, but pink or chum salmon. This means Coho dry faster than other types.

Silver salmon is a fish of perfect poaching. Its relatively low fat content advantages sweet cooking keeps it moist. I also COHO is also ideal for one of these stores sell pots poaching imagination.

I do not smoke salmon money if I did. Had access to the king or red, but silver is perfectly smoked You need to watch your heat! Smoking slightly cooler than kings or Sockeyes So what fat does not work with silver.

Silvers are great as gravlax, salmon, salmon and sushi Scandinavian are excellent - if you bought frozen or put in the freezer for a few days.

My favorite way to cook silver salmon is cut into slices and chops lightly sprinkle with flour and fry in olive oil or walnut oil. Maybe then serve with a French sauce oxide. Silvers enjoy this type of food, while the Kings could feel made too thick so.

You can also cut the skin of a silver salmon (or other) salmon into thin strips and fry until crisp slowly. It's a great way to enjoy a healthy serving of fish - usually has a thin layer of fat on the bottom, which is loaded with healthy omega-3 fats.

In short, you can use the money in any recipe using typical salmon, but sauteeing really think about poaching or hunting, if you find something.
